Job Description: IT Manager

Start Date: April 2008 – Filled

Salary: £30 – 35k

TriSys are looking for a hands-on IT Manager to manage all of its Microsoft based IT systems. The role will involve liaising with Microsoft, third party suppliers, TriSys’ development and support teams and customers.

The responsibilities of the position include:

·         Building new Windows Servers – 2003 and 2003 such as domain controllers, backup domain controllers, network addressable servers and web servers.

·         Building and maintaining Exchange 2003 and 2007 e-mail servers.

·         Building and maintaining SQL 2005 and 2008 database servers.

·         Installation of Microsoft Office 2003 and 2007, TriSys and anti-virus desktop tools.

·         Management and setup of monitoring tools such as MOM, GFI etc..

·         Setup of MX records and integration with Microsoft Hosted Exchange and continuity web services

Requirements for the position are:

·         Previous experience building, managing and supporting Microsoft server environments.

·         Experience and strong understanding of all of the following:

·         Microsoft Windows 2003 Server

·         Microsoft Exchange Server

·         Microsoft SQL Server

·         Windows Active Directory

Experience with the following would be beneficial:

·         Microsoft Office 2003, 2007

·         SQL Programming

·         VBA or VB Scripting

·         SharePoint Server

·         Linux
