1.      Introduction

During Xansa implementation, it was requested by the customer that NOT skills searching be available prior to user acceptance testing.

This was implemented in August 2001 (build 5.00.086 and above) and this document describes how to configure the requirement form to enable NOT skills searching.

NOT Skills searching is available by default on the Candidate Search form as this is not customisable.

The reason for having to manually enable this feature on Requirement forms is because they are configurable and therefore the location and layout of existing fields on each implementation is different, thus making it impossible for DbMigration to get 100% accuracy in automatic resizing/repositioning existing widgets.

2.      Enabling NOT Skills Using Form Designer

Ensure that DbMigration 5.00.086 or later has been run against the database.

Open Form Designer 5.00.086 or later and open the requirement form:

This shows the current requirement skills grid and associated buttons:

Turn on the grid to help with the widget manipulation:

Resize the grid by making it half vertical size and also reposition the buttons closer together:

Now locate the new NOT skills grid in the Field Selection dialogue:

Now drag this field beneath the original skills grid:

You should set the resize properties for the original requirement skill grid and the new grid so that they behave correctly when the form is resized at run-time.

Now locate the new buttons in the Field Selection Dialogue:

Drop these onto the form to the left of the NOT skills grid:

Set the tab order for the buttons, resize, align etc…

You should also create a label for the new grid to indicate to the user that this is a NOT skills grid:

to the form above the grid and test the layout:

Upon save, the NOT skills in Requirement are now enabled for TriSys 5.00.086 or later.
