Job Description: Trainer
Start Date: May 2007 – Now Filled
Salary: £22 - £25k
An excellent opportunity has arisen for an enthusiastic and outgoing Trainer to provide in-house and on-site training for our customers and staff. Reporting to the Training and Development Manager, the successful candidate will be very well presented with a full, clean driving license and be willing to travel to customer sites on a regular basis. The job will be successfully carried out by building good relationships with customers, the development team, and with specific project team members, and by delivering and administering ongoing training to agreed service levels. The ability to inspire others with your enthusiasm for our products is essential
The responsibilities of the position include:
· Analyzing training needs to develop new training programs or modify and improve existing training programs
· Designing course materials and other documents such as handouts, manuals and exercises
· Organising and marketing courses to meet the needs of learners and demands of business
· Preparing the learning environment and resources, including overseeing the set up of IT equipment
· Delivering training programs to clients either in a group classroom setting, online through an e-learning or Virtual Learning Environment (VLE), or on a one-to-one basis
· Conducting and arranging for ongoing technical training and personal development classes for staff members.
· Evaluating the effectiveness of the training and course outcomes
· Keeping up to date with relevant systems, software and online training technology
· Dealing with administrative records
· Assisting Quality Assurance by testing products and reporting problems
· Providing Help Desk support via the telephone and internet where needed. Much of this work is helping customers find their way around our computer systems and fault finding. You will be analyzing and solving customer problems that can occur if they use the systems incorrectly
Requirements for the position are:
· Previous experience in training classroom style and on customer premises.
· The ability to speak clearly so others can understand you
· Ability to document frequently asked questions (e.g., "How do I perform this procedure?")
· Experience and strong understanding of at least some of the following:
· Microsoft Windows Operating System
· Microsoft Office Applications
· Microsoft Outlook
· Experience with the following would be beneficial:
· Web Based Applications
· Microsoft SQL or other Database Applications
· Microsoft Exchange Server
· Recruitment Software Packages such as Bond Adapt, EZAccess, Profile, etc.
· Knowledge of the Recruitment Industry and a recognised training accreditation would be advantageous although not essential.
· Since the position involves dealing with customers, the following skills are also required.
· Excellent verbal and written communication skills
· Ability to learn new applications quickly
· Attention to detail required, must be methodical and thorough in problem solving
· "Team player"
· Ability to get the best out of all trainees, from junior to executive positions.
· Strong customer service orientation
