TriSys ASP has been running with live customers since 2002. Traditionally, TriSys ASP is a Software as a Service (SaaS) recruitment system utilising powerful server computers to carry out a range of activities such as e-mail, file and database management all conducted by logging into a secure remote desktop.

Whilst this solution is ideal for those customers with legacy PC’s, basic broadband, or those with thin-client devices, customers who have modern PC’s with multi-core processors, advanced graphics and high speed broadband are not able to fully utilise their local processors.

With the release of TriSys Version 8 in November 2008, it is now possible for customers to run TriSys ASP in a Software plus Services (S+S) hybrid configuration, whilst still retaining the benefits of a fully hosted solution i.e. centralised data management without having to buy and maintain expensive server hardware.

The TriSys ASP S+S solution splits the applications and servers so that TriSys, Word, Outlook, Excel and Powerpoint can be installed and run natively on the customer PC in order to make best use of the local resources whilst obtaining all data directly from the secure TriSys ASP servers.

Local printing i.e. no need for Uniprint

Prerequisites for Software+Services ASP

ASP customers wishing to take advantage of TriSys ASP Software+Services must have the following configuration at their place of work:

High speed broadband (SDSL or ADSL) with a minimum of 1Mb download and 512k upload

PC with 2Gb or more RAM

2Ghz CPU or higher (ideally multi-core)

Windows XP or Vista

Office 2003 or later

The hybrid Software+Services model is available to ASP customers from 01 December 2008.
