How can Remote Desktop work for you?
This summarises how remote desktops work using cloud computing
Windows Remote Desktop Services (RDS) separates where the application is
used from where it runs. RDC clients are available for a range of platforms
(e.g. Windows, Mac, Linux, iOS, Android) meaning that desktops can be accessed
from anywhere with a network connection.
The system enables system administrators to deploy fully configured desktop
systems to a large number of users whilst retaining central control of the configuration.
This simplifies maintenance and troubleshooting. Instead of having to update an application
on 50 PCs it only needs to be updated once on the RDS server and all users then have
access to the new version at the same time.
