The E-Mail options control how the incoming and outgoing e-mail is processed and recorded:

E-Mail Client Automation Method
These mutually exclusive radio buttons indicate how the sending of generated e-mails should be automated. The options are as follows:
MAPI
This uses the Mail Application Programming Interface (MAPI) protocol so that any MAPI compliant e-mail client can be used to send e-mail.
Outlook
The Microsoft Outlook e-mail client is the preferred e-mail manager for the vast majority of recruiters and provides the tightest possible integration with TriSys.
Notes
This setting is used for organisations using the popular client/server groupware product, Lotus Notes. Notes provides limited third party integration so special software components are required in order for this to work correctly.
mailto:
Where another e-mail client is installed, this option provides very basic e-mail automation which is limited to opening the e-mail send client and passing in the recipient e-mail address only.
Saved E-Mail Folder
This setting points to the folder where all processed e-mails are stored. When using the TriSys button in Outlook, this folder contains copies of all processed e-mail so this folder can grow very large.
Saved E-Mail Note/History
This setting points to the task type which is associated with all note/history records processed as e-mails. It is a legacy option for system administrators managing older databases.
