A purchase invoice is automatically generated following the submission of an authorised timesheet and is the trigger to release payment of the ‘pay rate’ to the candidate.
A PO is often called ‘self-billing’ as it allows for the production of an invoice against oneself (the agency) as if produced by the candidate submitting a timesheet.
Typically, the agency will pay the candidate prior to invoicing and receiving payment from the client.
