Jewel

The jewel is identical in functionality to the standard File menu in windows applications, and is now a prevalent feature in Vista and Office 2007 applications.

A separate menu is available beneath the Jewel providing both the normal ‘file based’ operations such as New, Open, Save, but also a recently opened set of records:
