Navigation Bar

The Navigation Bar was the principal collection of buttons arranged in such as way to group the common system functions together.

With the new Ribbon interface however, the navigation bar becomes less important as all of the main system functions are also available on the Ribbon.

There are two modes of operation of the navigation bar and these can be configured from the ToolsàUser OptionsàInterface and use the Navigation Bar Groups check box:

When this option is unchecked, the navigation bar appearance is such that all buttons are visible in the same scrollable list as follows:

When this option is checked, the navigation bar becomes more like Outlook and groups each section of buttons in its own bar group as follows:

The navigation bar can be positioned and docked at any place in the application by holding down the mouse when pressing the Navigation Bar caption and dragging the bar to the relevant position:

The navigation bar can also be pinned to the application by using the pin button:

This minimises the navigation bar and it appears as a tab on the left of the application:

 Hovering the mouse over this will cause the navigation bar to temporarily pop-out:

Pressing the auto-hide button, can re-pin the navigation bar to the left hand side:

Navigation Bar visibility can also be controlled using the ViewàNavigation Bar menu.
