Data Packages from Service Providers

As you can imagine, for e-mail to be pushed to your phone as it arrives in your TriSys Exchange mailbox requires you to be connected to our exchange server from your mobile phone, Smart Phone or PDA at all times.

This requires a constant connection using Wireless (GPRS) from your phone and could potentially be quite expensive.  To avoid this you will need a phone plan which is pay per Megabyte and not per minute.

Here is a selection of the top 4 mobile phone carrier’s data pricing schemes.

·         Orange:     www.orange.co.uk

·         02:             www.o2.co.uk

·         T-Mobile: www.t-mobile.co.uk

·         Vodafone: www.vodafone.co.uk

Certain packages can be quite reasonably priced depending on data size and mobile phone carrier.

For example:

02: £8 per month gets you 5mb worth of data download

02: £25 per month gets you 200mb worth of data download

Average e-mail size is around 2kb which would be over 1000 mails in a month for only £8
