TriSys ASP May 2010 Update

TriSys ASP was launched to the recruitment market in 2002, and has undergone a series of improvements whilst rapidly expanding during the previous 8 years.

The system was originally hosted in Cambridge, and has been subsequently relocated to Gloucester, then Reading.

We are now pleased to announce that TriSys ASP has gained additional capacity through our partnerships with Amazon, Google and Microsoft.

The benefits to end users are:

*        Disaster Recovery – The TriSys ASP utilises servers in the UK, EU-West (Dublin) and EU-East (Virginia) to supply ‘front-end’ services and additional Microsoft backup storage to provide a world-class complete DR solution to customers. There is no single point of failure in the network, even to the extent of a complete failure of a data centre. Our world-class partners are household names such as Amazon, Google and Microsoft and they have each invested billions of dollars in providing a complementary worldwide computing infrastructure.

*        Easier connectivity – the new desktop shortcut available here provides a simple method of connecting to the ASP service.

*        Increased Capacity – TriSys is able to now procure additional storage on-demand within minutes, and make this available to customers at very short notice with little cost to ASP customers.

*        Increased Performance – Additional servers can be easily deployed to cope with increased customer demand or busy periods. These are load balanced to improve performance across the system very quickly.

*        Increased Redundancy – There is a completely redundant ‘sleeping system’ in the East coast of the USA which will be activated and made available should there be a complete outage of the UK/Ireland data centres.

*        Increased Availability – Because of the built-in redundancy provided by having a multi-tiered supplier network, the overall availability of TriSys ASP is as close to 100% as can physically be achieved and is second to none in terms of availability.

*        Increased Flexibility – the ability to quickly deploy new, and ‘switch off’ rogue servers, provided unparalleled flexibility in order to tune the network to optimum efficiency.

*        Increased Scalability – TriSys expects that the introduction of the ‘Lite’ product and additional future service will require scalability which only this new network architecture can provide. The features described above are essential to providing unlimited scalability of TriSys ASP.

*        Resilience – Servers will fail – it is a fact of life. A modern computer system should be built by predicting failure of each component and providing a fully resilient infrastructure which manages the occasional failure of a server through the deployment of a fully redundant DR system. TriSys ASP is architected in precisely this way.

*        TriSys Lite – This is a fully WAN enabled smart-client which ASP customers can run on their own computers and fully utilise local resources such as CPU, memory, Office, Skype, web browsers, printers etc.. Those customers with modern windows computers no longer have tolerate the remote desktop experience. All data is held at TriSys ASP but made available through very sophisticated and secure technology implemented in TriSys Lite. Please click here to learn more.

*        Synchonisation – TriSys is working with both Google and Microsoft at present to provide full e-mail, calendar and contact synchronisation with TriSys through their respective cloud-hosted Google Apps and Business Productivity On-Line System (BPOS). The update to the ‘ExchangeSync’ utility will be available in July.

*        Mobile Devices – The new ASP architecture now permits the latest range of smart phones to access data services. July will see the release of TriSys for iPhone, iPad and Android phones. Microsoft release Windows 7 Phone in Q4 2010, and TriSys will run on those devices shortly after release.

*        Web Browser Access – The new TriSys Ultra-Lite application runs on all popular internet browsers to provide a lightweight means of accessing TriSys when in a slow network, or secure environment. Supported browsers are Internet Explorer, Firefox, Chrome, Safari and Opera.

*        No Increase in Subscription Costs – all of these benefits are brought to customers at no additional cost. Customers gain huge improvements in availability, performance and functionality because of TriSys’ ongoing commitment to providing top class customer service.
