Build 7.02.019 introduced functionality to remotely deploy TriSys onto any Windows computer and connect securely to a SQL Server deployed over the internet. This is known as the ‘hybrid ASP model’.
The benefits to end users are as follows:
TriSys utilises local resources i.e. RAM and CPU so is more responsive than RDP access to TriSys
TriSys interacts with locally installed Microsoft Windows and Office, rather than remote services
Use of local applications such as Internet Explorer is faster than through RDP
Local printing
Use of local applications e.g. scanner, skype, instant messenger
TriSys Web Services exposes the following:
TriSys SQL Server database access
Remote G: drive mapping
Exchange Server remote procedure calls over HTTPS
The benefits of using the web services in a remote / wide area network (WAN) configuration are that the local computer can access e-mail through Outlook, get access to the shared files held on the G: drive, and access TriSys recruitment data in the normal way.
ASP User Guide
ASP users should follow these steps to enable their local computer to access ASP resources.
Download and install the latest version of TriSys. The software setup kit can be found here.
Configure Outlook 2003 or Outlook 2007 to connect to the TriSys ASP Exchange e-mail server. Instructions can be found here.
Map a G: drive – run the following command after selecting Start-->Run: cmd:
net use g: http://asp.trisysglobal.co.uk/{Your Company} persistent:yes
where {Your Company} is a share name which will be provided to you on demand
Start TriSys and click on the setup link:

The login setup form will be displayed. Type in your full name and password which is the same as the credentials used to login to the TriSys support web site.

Also type in your company name. This must be exactly the same as the company name displayed within the TriSys support web site when viewing account details. The Use Web Services Connection check box must also be ticked.
After pressing the Login button, enter your TriSys login name and password as normal, and this should connect you to TriSys.
The TriSys status bar should show the name of the web server to which you are connected for data as well as the SQL Server and database name:

TriSys will now interact with local Microsoft Office applications and data stored on the G: drive.
