Technology and Security behind the TriSys mobile e-mail

The Microsoft Active Sync and Direct push technologies access our TriSys Exchange e-mail server using wireless GPRS.  This service is provided by your phone provider and communicates over the Internet with the TriSys Microsoft Exchange e-mail server. 

Wireless signals from the mobile phone or PDA are converted by your phone provider into Internet traffic which is routed through the TriSys corporate firewall where it is encrypted using SSL to prevent anyone else reading the information.  All communications between the device and TriSys Exchange server is encrypted and cannot be accessed by any other third parties.  See diagram below:
