Desktop Alert for New Email from Google or IMAP
In Outlook 2007

1. Select the Tools menu then Rules and Alerts

2. Select New Rule...

3. Highlight Display mail from someone in the New Item Alert Window
4. Select Next >

5. Under Step 1 (Top Box) Uncheck from people or distribution list
6. Check (ό) through the specified account
7. Under Step 2 (Bottom Box) select specified and select the correct account (the account will substitute the word specified
8. Select a specific message and enter New Mail
9. Select OK
10. Select Finish
11. Select OK

Now when new mail arrives a box will appear on screen
